90's back alright!

So I was little, and the closest thing I had to fashion inspirations were my favorite T.V shows. But who didn’t try to dress like the colorful Lizzie and Miranda from the wonderful world of Lizzie McGuire? I tried to copy everything, from their outfits to their hair styles. What can I say? I was a Lizzie McGuire freak -hey, who didn't love that everyday normal girl that everybody could relate to?-. Now that I see the episodes on You Tube I realize -Yes, I watch the series even though I‘m kind of old for that!- that their shirts not always matched with their pants or skirts. The accessories were crazy, from bandanas to UK flag headbands and platform shoes… Were law. But still though I like it! You may think I’m a freak but I’m still capable of dressing like that again. They were really casual and free. And free is the concept I mostly like. Who cares if everything matches or not? Fashion is about feeling comfortable with who you are, what you’re wearing and satisfying your own style.

Not only T.V shows had inspired my wardrobe. For me the mid 90’s and the beginning of the millennium have been my fashion inspirations . Music, T.V shows and movies have been my muse. So now I'll show you a few of my 90-00’s favorite styles.

You may call me childish but I still love her style, the colors remind me of the 60's!
It was the beginning of a new century and all this futuristic drama was really stuck in my head! I wanted to dress like her so bad; I remember her outfits were made out of some certain plastic...so cool!Living in a space station, that's definitely out of this planet! The cool thing about Earth was that every car was a VW Beetle! :)
Her outfit and headband are stellar!!!
Who can forget about the Spice Girls, you had five styles to choose!

The Step Sister's layer of clothes were so original, no wonder everybody thought she was awesome!

It's not complicated loving Princess of Punk Style!
Love this photo :)

Feel free to say who or what are your fashion inspirations. Hope you all have a stellar day! :) Peace out!
Sincerely Louie!

  8. Hahhaa! LOVED this post, Louie! Hm, my family didn't really have cable tv so I was only really able to watch PBS. LOL. But the other day I was feeling nostalgic and decided to watch the Lizzie McGuire movie. Good grief was that a while ago!
I also had a question about your blog template. I'm thinking about changing it, but my question is: are you still able to use Blogger's inherent controls & fonts & such after the change? Write me a note!

  11. That's so neat that you remember your childhood fashion influences! One of my major ones was 'the Wonder Years', I remember trying so hard to make my hair look like Winnie Coopers.

  13. Aah, I will forever love the Spice Girls - even though it took me a while to admit it at the time, haha. I wasn't that into fashion in the 90s, but I loved seeing the Spice Girls outfits.

  14. I love that shot of Avril! She looks gorgeous.
One of my inspirations is Camila Belle. She always wears gorgeous and elegant dresses. Her style is similar to mine when it comes to dressing up. I wish I could afford the dresses she wears.
